Granny Jacks was started in 1982 as a family catering business.  Twenty years later the idea of the bistro was born.  The current location in Uptown Olds, Alberta is run by Cindy Boffey and daughter, Jennifer Machell.  Granny Jacks is a busy little bistro with great atmospere that offers delicious homestyle food to eat in or take out.  All of our menu items are prepared in our own kitchen using fresh ingredients.  Our sandwiches and Panini (an Italian style grilled sandwich) are made using our own fresh baked Focaccia and Multigrain breads.  We offer scrumptious desserts such as Rice pudding, Strawberry Cream Puffs, Chocolate cake, Apple Crisp and Gelato (Italian style ice cream). Our unique menu is created from a mix of old family recipes and our own creations.  Our daily specials are not found on our regular menu to offer variety to our customers.    Our specialty coffee and beverage menu offers lots for your coffee break.  Choose from over twenty types of loose tea including Green tea, Black tea, Herbal or Rooibos. We serve a fine selection of freshly brewed coffee daily as well as specialty coffees.  Although Granny Jacks started a a catering business we no longer provide traditional destination catering.  If you need to feed a group, we can provide food for you.  Contact us for menu ideas and pricing. Granny Jacks is an active member of the Chamber of Commerce, Praries to Peaks and Rotary Club.   We are actively  involved in Olds and surrounding communities.  We support many local activities and charities through financial donations and volunteer time.
